Around the Anaweir, the regular humans, there is a society growing and warring against each other. The five Weirs thrive and grow. Of the five Weirs the Wizards are considered superior and do what they will with the servant weirs, the enchanters, warriors, seers and sorcerers. Each guild has their own talents and abilities and shapes their magic in different ways.
However the Wizards at one point in History, turned against each other in a battle for power called the War of the Roses. However a treaty was proposed so they would not wipe each other out of existence. Instead a tournament was proposed where each Rose sends forth a Warrior to fight to the death which ever Rose’s warrior wins is now put in charge and is granted access to a horde of magical objects.
However tensions are rising once again as two new leaders take control and the Weirs are on the brink of war once again. However as the Rose’s begin to struggle for power; other groups are taking the opportunities to strike against the Roses. Rebels are rising up to seize power from their slave drivers and Weirs who once remained silent now talk of joining the fight.
A turning point will soon be reached in this modern world of magic; the question is which way it will turn.
